The Oakley area offers attractions that are worth seeing time and time again. At the Buffalo Bill Cultural Center "The Birthplace of the Legend" of Buffalo Bill is celebrated with our monumental bronze sculpture of Buffalo Bill on his favorite horse Brigham taking aim at a buffalo. Many fossils and other artifacts depicting the history of our area are on display at the Fick Fossil & History Museum. Just south of Oakley you'll find the Kansas Badlands, Monument Rocks and Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park. These towering geologic remnants of the ancient inland seaway that once covered the region are an excellent example of where fossils of ancient sea creatures have been found.
